In March of 2011 we were blessed by the owners of Kennedy Funeral Homes. My husband and I were expecting twins. Due to pregnancy complications, I was sent to St. Joseph’s in London, ON. Our beautiful daughters come earlier than expected, by 3.5 months. Our daughter Jessica at 1lb 11oz,was only with us for about 12 hours, and her twin Kimberly was critically ill at only 1lb 14oz. As you can imagine this was a very difficult time for my family. We needed to be in London to be with Kimberly but also needed to take care of funeral arrangements for Jessica. My brother, contacted Kennedy’s for us. He explained the situation and the owners of Kennedy’s helped us far beyond our expectations. Tony and Jennifer de Ryk and the staff at Kennedy’s took care of all the arrangements for us. Tony personally picked up Jessica and brought her home; was in contact with our social worker at St. Joseph’s; and guided my husband through all the decisions that had to be made. This was comforting to me as I was getting updates back in London. Tony and his wife were a blessing to us during this bitter sweet time. Since Kennedy's is now the first funeral home in Essex County to provide Laser Engraving onsite. They were able to make me a cross necklace with Jessica’s fingerprint engraved on it, so that I have a tangible reminder of my daughter. On July 1st, we were finally able to come home for the NICU after almost 4 months and Kimberly is doing good. The de Ryk family was unknown to us at the start of this year, but we will always be grateful at the blessing they are to our family. Thank you once again for your time, patience and love during this time.

We so appreciate your genuine caring and your obvious concern for our well-being as we dealt with our deep sorrow. The entire team is extremely professional in every way.
