Joan Bridget Rouble

October 8, 1939 - April 18, 2022

Passed away peacefully with family on April 18th, 2022, at 82 years of age. Born in Renfrew, Ontario in 1939. She was the third of eight sisters, born to Tony and Mary Rouble. Joan acquired her teaching diploma prior to pursuing her true passion of raising her 5 children. Joan was the loving mother of Rob Pigeon (Sandy), Mark Pigeon, Patrick Pigeon (Ann), Nicole Simpson (Paul) and Nadine Broy (Mike). Joan loved family! Joan was always excited about connecting with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joan would never miss sending a card for a birthday or any other special occasion. And she absolutely loved to wrap the many gifts she would have ready for her next visitor. Joan was the treasured Nan of Jacqueline, Stephan, Erik, Lukas, Blake, Parker, Kyle, Jason, Daniel, Gregory, Coty, and Cassandra. Joan was also Great-Nan to Benjamin, Violet, James, Rose, Lily, Wyatt, Ezra, Braelyn, Derick, Kara, Ricky, Noah, Braydien, Aubrey, Charlie, Daphne, Emerson, Emiliegh, and Evelyn. Joan was the beloved sister to Margaret, Betty, Hazel (Ralph), Angela (Reid), Marion, Sue (Brian), and Jane (Mike). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joan was forever giving, caring, and loving in so many ways. She always looked forward to sharing a chat on the phone with all of her loved ones. Joan was a devout parishioner of St. John the Baptist Parish in Amherstburg. Joan was never without hope and our families’ “prayer warrior”. Joan will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Holy Name of Jesus Church (146 Talbot St. S, Essex) on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to Canadian Food for Children a charity of your choice.
