Allan Ferriss

July 9, 1951 - June 30, 2020

Passed away peacefully at his home in Belle River into God’s loving arms after a short battle with Cancer on June 30, 2020 at 68 years of age. Loving husband of Mary Jean (nee Rivest) with whom he celebrated 49 years of marriage. Treasured father of Allan Edward Ferriss (Janeen) and Amie Lynn Dufault. Cherished grandpa of Emma Dufault; Lauren and Nathan Ferriss. Son of Glorine and the late Elmer Ferriss. Son-in-law of the late Ted and Aurora Rivest. Brother of Tim Ferriss (Sam), David Ferriss (Denise), Cathy Gagnon (Mic), Daniel Ferriss (Denise) and Matthew Ferriss. Brother-law of Arthur Rivest (Helen) (late Marilyn), Marilynn Guilbeault (Dennis), Edward Rivest, Theadore Jr. Rivest (Wanda) and Brian Rivest (Donna). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Allan retired in 2007 after many years in the Tool & Die Industry. He loved his family very much. Allan loved fishing, his boat and tinkering in his garage. He was a member of St. Simon & St. Jude Parish in Belle River for over 45 years. Special heartfelt thanks to Vickie Allison for all her special care and support. On Friday, July 3, 2020 pre-registered attendees are invited to gather at the St. Simon & St. Jude Parish (488 St. Charles Street, Belle River) after 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral mass at 11 a.m. Please RSVP at www.kennedyfh.com to reserve your spot for the funeral mass. Cremation will follow. Donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor, Diabetes Association, Windsor Regional Cancer Centre Foundation, or the St. Simon & St. Jude Building Fund.
