Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 13, 2023, at 90 years of age. Dear husband of Trixie with whom he celebrated 70 years of marriage. Loving father of Jenny Reitsma, Ron Reitsma (Beth), Roy Reitsma (Laurie), and Sonja Reitsma. Treasured Opa of Tara (Geoff), Heather (Dylan), Tamara (Eric), Jeff (Nova), Naomi (Justin) and Blake. Great-Opa of Evan (Teddy), Jackson, Georgia, Russell, Jeremiah, Jacobus, Oscar, Wilhem, Fisher, and Izaak. Brother of Greet (Bertus) and Thomas (Roseanne). Brother-in-law of Martha (Gerrit). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jacobus was a hard worker, a perpetual cowboy, and a gentleman farmer. He loved the outdoors and his horses. He was also known to have a great sense of humour and his memory will live on in our hearts forever. Cremation will take place.
